I worked closely with team at Modern Logic developing storyboards as well as the visual aesthetic of many of the graphic elements surrounding the characters in their promo piece for Mayans on FX.
ILLUSTRATIONS
In order to achieve this look, first several illustrated design frames needed to be created. The illustrations were brought to life by the 2DFX geniuses at Sunshine Mall and then incorporated into the more complex 3d motion happening around the characters.
STORYBOARDS
In addition to the illustrations and 2d asset creation, I also did the storyboards for the VFX in this spot by drawing over the stills from the raw footage. see more storyboarding examples here.
